East Meets West Birthday

East Meets West Birthday

My son’s sixth birthday got celebrated at his Korean-grandparent’s house.

It only seemed fair since his fifth birtday was celebrated with his Nanna and Big Daddy where fried chicken was served along with his Nanna’s homemade cake shaped like a car.

His Nanna's many cakes for the birthday boy.

These two cakes are the perfect meld of East and West that is the norm for our son. Unlike the fried chicken at his Nanna’s, this party was celebrated with lots of Kalbi, rice, and wine. For him, it was sheer heaven to play with his cousins.
